International Scientific Conference “Modern preoccupations of humanities”
Aula Magnifica of ULIM has hosted on December 6th, 2018 the 9th edition of the International Scientific Conference “Modern preoccupations of humanities”.
The event was organized by the Faculty of Social and Education Sciences, Doctoral School of Economic and Social Sciences and Information Technologies of ULIM in collaboration with Faculty of Psychology, Education Sciences and Social Assistance of “Petru Andrei” University of Iasi, Faculty of Education Sciences, Psychology and Arts of “Alecu Russo” State Univerity of Balti and Faculty of Psychology and Special Psychopedagogy of “Ion Creanga” State Pedagogical Univerity.
The works of the conference were opened by observing a minute of silence in the memory of regretted rector and founder of ULIM, Academician Andrei Galben. The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Education Sciences of ULIM, Associate Professor, Dr. Rusnac Svetlana has mentioned in her speech about the impact of new paradigms and changes in the society on the humanities. There were transmitted greeting message in the plenary session by University professor, Dr. hab. Elena Prus, Vice-rector for Scientific Research and Doctoral Studies, Associate professor, Dr. Alexandru Cauia, Vice-rector for Academic Strategy and Programs of Studies and Dr. Valentina Ciumacenco, Vice-rector for International relations, who have expressed their gratitude for the organization of the scientific manifestation, regrouping known personalities, experts, scientists and professors, preoccupied by the modern trends in different branches of human sciences and the structuration of sustainable systems for the community development.
The next stage of the plenary session covered the presentation of extended studies of experts and scientists: Dr. Vadim Moldova, professor of The City University din New York (Social Economy in Moldova: a way to a better future) and Associate professor, Dr. Silvia Briciag together with university lecturer, dr. Maria Corcevoi (“Influence of marriage duration on the perception of marital relations of spouses). The works of the Conference continued with sessions of presentation and debates within the thematic workshops:
Methodological challenges in modern psychological research;
Modernization of social protection system in order to ensure the population’s welfare;
Development of education sciences and humanities in the context of globalization.
The organizers mention that the works of the conference will continue also Friday, December 7th, according to the program that may be accessed at http://psihologie.ulim.md/
